The Root Cause Workshop

Why nothing you've tried has worked, and what actually does.

90 minutes, live. You'll find the pattern that has been running you for years, understand why every previous attempt at fixing it failed, and feel it start to shift before the session ends.

This is not a slideshow. Part of it is done with your eyes closed.

You look like you've got it handled

You perform. You deliver. People rely on you.

Internally it's a different story.

There's always pressure. A low-level tension that never fully switches off. A constant sense that you need to stay sharp, stay in control. Even when things are going well.

You tell yourself this is just what it takes.

It isn't. What's actually happening is simpler than that. You're not performing from power. You're performing from pressure. And pressure has a cost.

It shows up in your work

And it shows up where it matters more

Over time that creates distance. Not because you don't care. Because you don't know how to come out of that state.

Underneath all of it is the same pattern. If you slow down, you lose control. If you soften, you lose your edge.

So you keep going. You keep producing. You keep holding it together.

And it never once feels like control.

You've probably already tried to fix this

The therapy. The books. The podcasts. The morning routine, the discipline, the supplements, the cold water.

Some of it helped. None of it held.

And somewhere along the way you started to wonder whether the problem was you.

Nothing worked because nothing reached the root.

That says nothing about your capacity to change. It says something about where the work was aimed.

Insight lives in your head. The pattern lives in your body. You can understand exactly why you do the thing, explain it to a room, and keep doing it, because understanding was never the mechanism.

There is an order to this work, and almost nobody follows it.

1. Stabilise the mindBefore anything, you need to be able to put your attention somewhere and hold it there.
2. Regulate the bodyA nervous system in survival mode cannot process emotion. It can only survive it.
3. Go to the rootThe original pattern gets located and felt through to completion. Not analysed. Felt.
4. Rebuild the identityOnce the charge on the old belief drops, the new one can go in.
5. Live from itDaily action from the new identity, until self-trust has evidence behind it.

Therapy tends to give you step three without steps one and two, so you understand everything and change nothing. Discipline culture gives you step five without any of the rest, so you white-knuckle a life you can't feel.

Both are aimed at something real. Neither is aimed at the root.

This is the Ladder of Liberation. In the workshop, we start at the bottom.

This is not a webinar

Most workshops are a presentation with a pitch attached to the end. You leave with notes and nothing changes, which is the exact problem you already have.

This one is built differently. Ninety minutes, four parts.

01

Locate it

I'll walk through the five patterns I see in almost every high-performing man I work with. You'll know which one is yours within the first fifteen minutes, and you'll probably recognise more than one.

02

Understand it

Where it came from, what it was protecting you from, and why it made complete sense at the time it formed. Nobody here is broken. You adapted, and the adaptation is now costing you.

03

Feel it move

This is the part that matters. We do a live concentration practice and a round of tapping together. Your eyes will be closed for roughly twenty minutes. Most men feel their body drop out of a state it has been holding for years, some of them for the first time.

04

Know your next step

You'll leave knowing exactly which rung you keep falling off, and what the first piece of work actually is for you.

Protect the full ninety minutes. Find a room where you can close your eyes and not be interrupted. If you can only half-attend, come to the next one instead.

This is for you if

  • You're high-performing on the outside and constantly managing pressure inside
  • You can't switch off, even with your partner or your family
  • You feel distant or distracted in the conversations that should matter most
  • You're tired of overthinking and carrying tension in your body
  • You want to feel calm and in control without losing your ambition
  • You already suspect something deeper is driving this, and you're ready to look at it

This is not for you if

  • You want motivation or surface-level advice
  • You want tactics without doing the internal work
  • You're not willing to look honestly at your own patterns
  • You'd rather stay busy than actually change how you feel

What you'll leave with

My story
David Titeu

I know, because I lived it

The illusion of the overachiever

I'm David. I coach high-performing men through the exact pattern this workshop is about, and I spent most of my twenties inside it.

For years, my reality looked like the textbook definition of success. Achieving results, growing a business, winning awards, speaking on stages, building a team. From the outside, I had it all together.

Behind the accolades, I was living in a constant state of survival. My day-to-day was a masterclass in high-functioning dysregulation. I filled my calendar to the brim just to avoid the deafening silence of stillness. I said yes to everyone except myself, to keep the peace and prove my worth. If I wasn't working, I felt a crushing guilt that I wasn't doing enough.

To cope with the pressure I was putting on myself, I turned to avoidance. Distracting myself with substances, scrolling for hours, chasing the next milestone to outrun the feeling that I was fundamentally never good enough.

The root of it was unprocessed grief and trauma. Growing up in a tense environment, and later navigating a family member's attempted suicide, I had learned to suppress my emotions and rely on extreme hyper-independence to stay safe in an unpredictable world.

I tried everything to fix the internal chaos. I spent over eight years in talk therapy. I meditated, read countless books, consumed endless podcasts. I gained incredible intellectual awareness of my issues, and the biological pattern remained completely untouched. No matter how well I understood my trauma, my nervous system kept running the same subconscious programme of stress, insecurity, anxiety and eventual burnout.

Everything changed when I stopped trying to out-think my patterns and started doing the somatic and shadow work. I confronted and integrated the parts of myself I'd kept hidden: the relentless overachiever, the chronic people-pleaser, the exhausted peace-keeper. I cleared the trapped emotional charge out of my body.

When you finally process that underlying emotion from your nervous system, the friction dissolves. You stop fighting yourself.

Today I lead my business, serve my clients and live my life from a genuinely composed, regulated state. The meaningful success hasn't stopped. The desperate, exhausting pressure behind it has.

I know exactly how heavy that armour is. More importantly, I know exactly how to help you take it off.

From men who've done the work

"With counselling or therapy, you're running out of time. You feel like sometimes you're not heard to the degree that you want to be heard. This was different. I just had to show up as I am."

Normaan, 25

"Within a month, I noticed myself and even my team being happier. I put out my best revenue for the month in my 2.5 years of running the business. I'm a different boss and I'm a different mate. How did I not learn this stuff years ago?"

Nick, 27, business owner

"You've helped me pave the way through my own head. I've got more confidence now. I haven't been comparing myself anymore whereas in the past I'd get stuck in cycles of comparison. It was a necessary step to push me forward."

Eran, 25, sales leader

If you're tired of carrying it

Into your work. Into your decisions. Into the rooms with the people you love most.

You've held it together for a long time and you've done it well. That's not in question.

The question is what it's cost you, and whether you're ready to find out why it never got any lighter.
